emetophobia awareness day

Emetophobia Awareness Day
March 5th 2014

Emetophobia is a phobia of being sick (vomiting), or a phobia of other people being sick. It’s sometimes called ‘vomit phobia’, ‘phagophobia’, ‘sickness phobia’ or ‘SPOV’ – which stands for ‘specific phobia of vomiting’.

3-5% of the worlds population suffers from this phobia, and the vast majority of sufferers are female.

The Thrive Programme® is the most successful cure for emetophobia, and thousands of sufferers have overcome their phobia with this programme. In our recent survey of random sufferers who had been through the programme, all 64 participants had overcome their phobia – in an average of just six weeks. You can view the survey results here.

On March 5th 2014 we launched the first ‘Emetophobia Awareness Day’ – at the Royal Society of Medicine in London – to promote awareness and understanding about this debilitating phobia. You can watch the presentation below.

My name is Niall, and I am Thrive Programme Coach®. I can take you through The Thrive Programme® and show you how to overcome your emetophobia – in just a few weeks. You can get in touch with me here.
