Corporate Work
Is your organisation interested in training your staff to manage the pressures of their working life, and increase their productivity?
I will be honest, the first time I really began to investigate how much mental health difficulties negatively affect businesses, and the economy, I was floored by the statistics.
"We know more broadly that poor mental health costs employers between £33 billion and £42 billion a year, and the UK economy between £74 billion and £99 billion per year”Paul Scully, Business Minister
More alarming statistics…
In 2019,
+ 602,000 workers in the UK were suffering from work-related stress, anxiety and depression
+ 12.8 million working days lost to stress, depression and anxiety
+ Stress, depression or anxiety accounted for 54% of all work-related ill health cases
+21 working days lost per case on average

Thankfully more and more organisations are beginning to take mental well-being more seriously and are providing work-shops and training for their staff. Although, there may be a short-term cost, as you can see from the figures above, it’s a huge money saver in the long-term. It also results in a happier, more productive workforce.
